Just want to take a minute today to thank all of you that came to see us on Saturday night at CAIRO in West Chicago. We had a great time performing for you and are already looking forward to our next show.

We want to thank CAIRO Ale House and the folks at www.mhxradio.com for the opportunity and also give a shout-out to Our Fathers Burden and Marauder/ Chicago Metal for sharing the stage with us.
Lastly, we'd like to thank Chicagosrock.com for coming out and filming our performance for a new series that will be featured in the upcoming season of the webzine later this fall. We'll keep you updated on that one.

HELLO FRIENDS AND FANS!

On behalf of my bandmates, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for #1 being here tonight. I know it's a Sunday night but we really appreciate your continued support for our band in the past, today and going forward. We'll do everything we can to do our best and make it worth your time.

A big thanks to Mario Chicagosrock Salazar, for his work and dedication to our band and to all things rock with many of us here in Chicagoland. We're very happy with what he's done here and we hope you are too.

So, without anything further, here we give you: BALLBREAKER.

Well, our latest video for BALLBREAKER is now ready to hit the online "airwaves" and we've designed an event to make it easy for the most number of people to check out the debut. It's a Facebook-based event sponsored by our band page and I hope you can join us there.
Here's the link to it→ https://www.facebook.com/events/331110400357194/

Having said that, I'm thinking we may do a simultaneous "broadcast" at this BLOG for those of you who are not on Facebook. I hope you can join us at either location and enjoy the video.

Have a great Friday!

SUMMER UPDATE

7/22/2013

Hello to everyone!
I just wanted to take a quick moment to not only say hello and hope that this summer of 2013 is being good to all of you, but also wanted to give a quick update on what's been going on with our band.

As some may notice, and to those of you who already have noticed, we are currently a 3-piece band. Things were not going the way we thought was best for the band and we decided to make a change in terms of the dynamics of our lineup. It is a little bit challenging in some ways given the way our music is recorded, but it is much, much easier in other ways and we're good with that.

So, will this be a permanent thing you may ask? Well, the answer right now is yes. Although we never know what's around the bend or in the unforeseeable future, this works now. It is very difficult to find a partner (or in our case, bandmate) who has all the right elements not just professionally but mentally and emotionally. If we are fortunate enough to find such a person, we'll address that then. For now, we will continue to bring you great music, with a great show in the best way we can.
On that note, I'd also like to let you know that we have a NEW VIDEO in the final stages of editing and we're hoping to release it very, very soon.

As you know from our previous video releases, we take our video production efforts very seriously and go the extra-mile to bring you cool, memorable videos that are worth watching. This clip is going to be for our single "Ballbreaker" and be on the lookout for it very soon.

In addition to the video, 'Ballbreaker' will also be featured on a compilation disc featuring other hard rock, heavy metal acts and it is being put together/released by Sly Productionz from Chicago.
NEW Video coming soon!
Shot from the upcoming Ballbreaker music video.
The CD will be given away for FREE at the "Carnival of Madness" show on August 23rd, 2013 in Tinley Park, IL., by Sly Productionz. For a 'live' version of the song plus others from our current repertoire, come check us out as we'll also be performing at the Madcity Underground show in Wisconsin THIS weekend (7/27) -the information is posted on the front page of this website-, so check it out and come check us out if it's at all possible for you.

Again, hope your summer is going well so far. Thank you as always for your support and friendship.
This is it, ...for now. Stay METAL!

To Our Fans: THANKS

We've had a great time on the road playing new venues/festivals and meeting new people. We've been fortunate to meet many new musicians we can call our friends as well as many new fans on the road this year! We have a couple weeks off while we gear up for some Midwest shows before heading to Ann Arbor Michigan for the big A2 Festival!

We want to give a BIG personal shout out to our friend Mario Salazar from CHICAGOROCK.COM and Mario Salazarphotography.com for his continued efforts and support of not only TWO TON ANVIL, but all of Chicago's rock scene!

Hoping that our "stand by" status for Milwaukee's Summerfest turns into a GO! Unless we're asked to play an event or festival we will take the majority of the Summer to write new material and work on ways to take our live show to the next level so there is always something exciting for YOU, our fans who come and see us keep things moving and fresh!

So....once again and HUGE thank you to all our new friends and fans and be sure to keep it locked in here for the latest and most recent news and events!

Keep it metal and keep your horns up my friends!

Moving along...

4/2/2013

Well, things are moving along just fine with this new drummer candidate and I feel pretty confident that this will be a mutual good fit for the long haul.

Initial rehearsals have been going well and this individual has learned his parts and is driven & eager to play our music with the enthusiasm and power of a 20-year old. I think we will be making an official announcement very soon and "the candidate" just might be ready for an "ice-breaker" show coming up later this month at JD Muggs.
Stay tuned my friends. This is going to be good!

A Ray of Hope

I'm feeling hopeful and excited as I think our search for a new drummer has found what may be the right guy. I'm not going to go into details as it is rather early to say, even for myself, BUT, I have a very good feeling about this person.
We've been trying a number of individuals but it just hasn't been the right fit for either us or them so let's just wait and see what happens in the upcoming days and weeks before revealing anything further.
I'm quite amazed at how time consuming and frustrating this process can be. I suppose I already knew and expected that but it still shocks me to a certain degree.

As far as our friend Vic, he's doing OK for the most part and managing the pain in the best way he can. I surely hope he gets better soon and can get back into a normal life routine.

Stay tuned and wish us luck with this one...!

A quick update on this Hard Rock Rising opportunity I had mentioned in a previous blog and had been talking about throughout social media. Well, we did not get enough "votes" or downloads so Two Ton Anvil didn't make the cut.
I understand that we have to roll with the punches in everything in life. Sometimes you come up on top and others you simply don't but you always give it all you've got. Both myself and my team have done everything we could to make this possible and trying to encourage people to give us 10-15 seconds of their time on this. I really didn't think it was asking for much as all it is, is a quick download. Simple. What is troubling me right now as I look at the numbers are the people that marked "Maybe".

"Maybe", Seriously?!?
We're supposedly friends, but yet I couldn't get 10-15 seconds of your time for this. No money, no anything other than just a quick download and I get a "maybe"?
Folks this is not a bitch session, I'm simply venting and expressing my frustration with the way some people think. I make it a point to support my friends, bands and fellow musicians in the things that they do. All of that of course, within reason obviously, but this "maybe" bullshit really rubs me the wrong way.

I don't know what would someone's reason for having such a stupid answer is, but I just hope it's a good (and very valid) one. As far as I'm concerned, with friends like that, well...., I think you know how that line goes.

So anyway, there will be other opportunities and we WILL keep moving forward in spite of the odds. Thank YOU to all of those who keep supporting us. We will not dissapoint you.
That is all I have for now.
